The Director of Client Service, Legal & Regulatory has primary responsibility for the development of new business; the management of existing clients, engagements and Consultants; and participates in recruiting of Consultants. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Continually develop new business by identifying target clients, networking, meeting with target clients, and position all Resources' services.
• Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client visits.
• Position projects to new and existing clients, clarifying the scope of projects with clients, identifying business solutions, presenting qualified Consultants to the client, and negotiating billing arrangements.
• Represent Resources in appropriate professional and community organizations.
• Identify future project needs of clients and ensuring clients' expectations are met.
• Minimize Consultants "unassigned time" by managing roll off dates and communicating regularly with Consultants regarding additional client needs and/or other appropriate engagements in the pipelines.
• Work with the recruiting team to assess skill set and competencies of legal candidates.
• Ensure approved business contracts are executed by taking responsibility for the completion of all engagement paperwork.
• Support team goals of office by participating in strategy meetings, including discussing candidate and legal professional pipeline, marketing strategies, and current challenges.
• Maintain strong communications with Consultants assigned to client engagements.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• JD required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of legal experience, including national or leading local/regional law firm experience.
• In-House Legal Department experience required.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois and in good standing.
• Prior business development experience of professional services strongly preferred, including a professional network in the Chicago area and experience identifying opportunities with clients, networking and generating leads.
• Demonstrated track record of positive change in all positions held.

• Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues.
• Ability to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to clients, Consultants and management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and proven ability to develop business relationships.
